Dating is hard enough as it is let alone moving on to the Double Dating scene. If you’ve been dating someone for a while it can be a lot of fun to switch things up by going on double dates rather then the usual one on one. However, you have to remember that rather then just having to think and take one person into consideration now you have three (3) individuals to think about other than yourself. Don’t go running now; this can still be tons of fun, adventurous and you may even learn a few things. From my own personal experiences, I’d have to say that double dating lead to me appreciating my partner more then ever before. I learned things about myself and about the opposite sex as well. I even started to realize that the things my partner did that drove me insane were either not that big a deal or even “normal”.

With all that said, I’ve done some research and come up with a few IMPORTANT things for you to know and keep in mind when going on Double Dates.

Double Date Don’t Tips:

• Don’t make them uncomfortable by choosing a place too expensive for their budgets, unless you’re planning on footing the bill.
• Don’t leave anyone out. When two or three of you are really close it can become real easy to get caught up with each other and leave the rest out.
• Don’t get too personal. No talking or asking about what people make or pay, no questions about whether or not there will be a future proposal or kids, etc.
• Don’t be overly affectionate or touchy-feely. While holding hands and a peak kiss are fine now is not the time to be making out and groping one another.
• Don’t argue or bring up unhappy conversations. They aren’t your counselors and they aren’t getting paid to hear your fighting and bickering. Don’t go asking them for advise cause for all you know they are in a worse situation then you are!
• Don’t flirt with the other couple. After downing a few drinks and enjoying some laughs it can be real easy to become too friendly and down right flirtatious with a person other than your date.
